The 22nd session of the Global Food Market Information Group was held at the headquarters of the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Switzlerland on Friday, 18 November 2022. It was the first in-person meeting of AMIS since the outbreak of COVID-19 in January 2020.

In view of the frequent turmoil experienced on global food markets in recent months, the meeting offered an important opportunity for representatives of the world's principal trading countries of staple food commodities to assess the current situation, identify remaining challenges, and agree on common strategies moving forward.
