The Second Joint National Workshop on Rice Data in Thailand and the Philippines was held in Manila, Philippines. Participants from both countries including relevant national government entities from both countries, and representatives from International Rice Initiative (IRRI), Asian Food Security Information System (AFSIS),  Asian Development Bank (ADB) and from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Headquarters, Regional and Country Offices.

The agenda of the meeting allowed for in-depth discussions on key implementation and methodological issues relevant for the project.

Outputs of the meeting include a list of lessons learned from both countries and from relevant regional and global activities. Detailed 2015 work programs for the project were also designed and agreed during the workshop.
