WTO: Collective effort to address price volatility needed
Speaking earier this week at the Global Food Market Information Group, the Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO) Roberto Azevêdo stressed that AMIS promotes a rich and diverse source of perspectives essential for policy makers by bringing together data from a number of countries and international organizations. He underlined that the WTO Secretariat stands ready to help AMIS in ensuring increased transparency and improved policy co-ordination in international commodity markets as part of the collective effort to address global food security.
